Industry Awareness Feature
The All India Resort Development Association (AIRDA) is pleased to share that we have officially joined the Board of Directors of the Federation of Associations in Indian Tourism & Hospitality (FAITH) with effect from 1st November 2025. With our induction, the total number of FAITH member associations now stands at eleven.
Mr. Rajiv Mehra, General Secretary of FAITH, recently announced that our Chairman, Mr. Vikram Lalvani, will represent AIRDA as a Board Member of FAITH.
We thank FAITH for the warm welcome and look forward to contributing our insights and collaborative efforts as part of the collective mission to strengthen and advance India’s travel, tourism, and hospitality ecosystem.
What it means to be a Board Member of FAITH
To start with, it means a seat at the table enabling visibility, voice, and representation. As a member of FAITH, AIRDA will be invited to participate in travel and tourism-related meetings convened by the federation—these include engagements with the Ministry of Tourism, the Ministry of Finance, and other key industry bodies. Two nominees from AIRDA’s Executive Committee will represent our voice in these forums, helping ensure that the perspectives of independent resorts and allied stakeholders are meaningfully included in sector-wide discussions.
Our name will now feature prominently on FAITH’s website and in all official communications to government ministries and industry partners. This visibility strengthens AIRDA’s presence and affirms our commitment to collaborative growth.
Strategic Alignment with FAITH’s Vision
FAITH plays a central role in policy ideation and advocacy, representing the entire tourism ecosystem to central and state governments. As members, AIRDA will contribute to initiatives such as:
Policy reform: Advocating for infrastructure status, concurrent list inclusion, and industry recognition across states
Tax advocacy: Supporting rationalization of GST and removal of outdated compliance burdens
Budgetary engagement: Participating in discussions with the Finance Ministry on Union Budget proposals
Vision 2047: Contributing to the ambitious goal of making India’s tourism a $3 trillion economy
These align closely with AIRDA’s long-term goals of promoting regenerative tourism, ethical engagement, and sustainable development.
Collaboration, Conclaves, and Collective Impact
Membership opens doors to FAITH’s annual conventions, conclaves, and strategic events—without the need for sponsorship. AIRDA’s brand will be showcased alongside India’s leading tourism associations, reinforcing our role in shaping the future of experiential travel.
This platform also enables deeper collaboration with fellow members, fostering shared learning and coordinated efforts to promote India as a premier global destination.
Looking Ahead: A Shared Commitment to Purposeful Tourism
AIRDA’s inclusion as a full member of FAITH is more than a title—it reflects a commitment to ethical storytelling, inclusive representation, and strategic impact. We look forward to contributing our unique perspective, grounded in community engagement and experiential travel, to FAITH’s collective vision.
Alongside fellow member associations, AIRDA will collaborate to elevate industry standards, empower local voices, and help shape a tourism ecosystem that is resilient, responsible, and regenerative.
AIRDA at FAITH Conclave 2025: Listening, Learning, Aligning
In August 2025, AIRDA attended the National Tourism Conclave 2025 held at the Taj Palace, New Delhi. Themed “Indian Tourism: Invincible Spirit!”, the event brought together senior government officials, industry leaders, and policy architects to chart a unified roadmap for India’s tourism sector.

As participants, AIRDA’s team had the opportunity to observe key discussions on infrastructure development, sustainability, and the Tourism Vision 2047 blueprint. These sessions offered valuable insights into the evolving priorities of India’s tourism landscape and reaffirmed AIRDA’s commitment to ethical engagement, experiential travel, and regenerative practices.
Our presence at the conclave reflects a growing alignment with FAITH’s strategic direction and a shared aspiration to contribute meaningfully to India’s tourism future.
