Q&A: Conversations with Harshvardhan Neotia,
the guiding inspiration behind Ffort Raichak – Part 2

The Ffort, Raichak is a dream come true for Harshavardhan Neotia, Chairman, Ambuja Realty. The resort is designed around an “old fort” theme, where contemporary blends with old world charm. Launched in 1997, The Ffort stands as an architectural marvel amidst 65 acres of landscaped greenery. The resort is framed by the picturesque Hooghly, with an expansive blue skyline as a visual backdrop.

Q: Weddings at Ffort Raichak – now that must be interesting :)

A: If marriages are made in heaven, weddings must be held at Ffort Raichak. For most young couples that’s a dream come true. Facilities include International Food & Beverage spreads, Theme Mandaps, the option of Marwari Vegetarian Cuisine, exclusive decoration and entertainment services. To give you an idea of capacity, we can allocate 65,000 square feet to make a wedding really, really special.

Q: What can you do for conferences at the resort?

A: At The Ffort Raichak we have two conference halls - Citadel I & Citadel II - which are the mainstay of the Resort and offer you sophisticated conferencing facilities, backed by a conference support team that makes sure everything goes just right. Strategically placed, the conference halls have a pre-function area just right for your breaks, gatherings and outdoor activities.

The 65-acre property also has boardroom facilities for private, high-level meetings. The bonus here is an excellent view of the Ganges alongside the Captain’s Deck - our unique theme bar. The other conference venues are Confluence, a 1000 sqft banquet hall for all occasions and Summit, a 540 sqft boardroom with basic facilities for holding a conference or a meeting.

Q: The cruise on The Pari is another highlight at The Ffort – tell us more?

A: You can choose to lend a different ambience to official meetings aboard the Pari – our cruise liner. The Pari is equipped with an air-conditioned boardroom at the lower level that is just right for conferences with a people count of forty to fifty. Refreshments can be served from a well-appointed kitchen that caters to the needs of cruise guests.

Another option is the open-air Upper Deck which can accommodate 60 people comfortably. Catch the first rays of the sun on the sparkling waters of the Hooghly, or experience a lyrical sunset with the family and friends.

Q: What are the peripheral features at the resort?

A: There’s a lot you can do at Ffort Raichak – you can chance your arm at badminton, tennis, basketball and yes, golf. You can also have a great time playing Futsal. Other attractions include The Ffort Raichak temple, a memorabilia shop housing a wide and exclusive collection of apparel, display pieces, accessories and gift items.

Q: What categories of memberships do you offer?

A: Currently, we have two categories of members - Resident Members and Ordinary Members. Resident Members are eligible for membership when they invest in a property from the Ambuja Realty Group. This membership can only be linked to the original member. If the property is sold for instance, the membership ceases and the new buyer has to re-initiate the membership process on payment of admission fee and annual subscription.

Ordinary Members are chosen from eminent citizens of Kolkata, who are our special guests and specially invited to use the facilities at The Ffort.
