Bluegreen Corp., an operator of vacation ownership plans and planned residential communities has reached a nonbinding agreement to be purchased by Diamond Resorts International for about $500 million, excluding debtt

 
   

Amidst Economic Woes, Americans Hitting The Brakes on Travel

 

Close to the news that Americans gave up $60B worth of vacation time last year as per our May 1 newsletter , we’ve come across yet another report, this time from findings of Destination Analysts' bi-annual The State of the American Traveler survey, which shows that 45.8% of the 1000 American leisure travelers surveyed expect to reduce the number of leisure trips they will take in the coming year in direct response to the overall economic climate.

 
   

Starwood Q2 profit drops on lower vacation ownership; Guides Q3, FY08 below Street expectation

 

Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide Inc. reported a 27.6% decline in second-quarter profit, hurt by lower lodging demand in the U.S due to the deteriorating economy.

Diamond Resorts International Selects Unified Contact Center Platform

 

Diamond Resorts International has selected Noble Systems Corporation’s Noble Solution for blended inbound and outbound contact management in its membership sales and service center.
