Timeshare is about people, places and things

Timeshare is not just about vacations - it’s about strengthening relationships, meeting new people and  exploring new worlds - taking back fond memories of good times spent together. All this is possible because the timeshare format allows you to vacation in larger numbers, and enables carefully planned activities for varied age groups and interests.

So where do you go from here?

Believe me, this is a really good time to be in a timeshare plan, or invest in one. And I think I can take the liberty to state that AIRDA member resorts belong to the organized sector. We are governed by common rules and guidelines, we are answerable to customers in precisely the same kind of way with customer policies are virtually identical – though pricing plans may be different for each resort, depending on size, scale and level of operations.

If you take a look at the member page on the AIRDA website, you will see timeshare resorts that offer vacations in different formats and flavors. So all you need to do is match your long-term budgets with a vacation plan that’s right for you.

Q: Where do you want to vacation this year?

Timeshare in India has evolved to such an extent, that you can now exchange your vacation week within the AIRDA network, or explore what your exchange company has to offer in India and other parts of the world.

To give customers a wider map of holiday options, resort owners on AIRDA constantly feel the need to be present in newer geographies. Newer locations can ease the load on other high traffic resorts, and boost job opportunities around new resorts.

There’s a comfort level when you go to a new location that offers you exactly what you were looking for - peace, quiet and freedom from crowds. And that can be comforting in more ways than one.

Q: What locations do you associate timeshare vacations with?

While resort locations near beaches and hill stations are popular, I am happy to observe timeshare companies considering popular destinations that are already on the tourist map.

Take for instance G2G Amritsar being developed by DJB Infrastructures & Developers. This innovative timeshare project is approximately 9 km from the Golden Temple. Plans include the construction of approximately 1113 suites with 3 variants - studio suites, 1-bedroom suites and 2-bedroom suites. We have been briefed that the project offers 5-star like amenities including a club – making it very unique in terms of concept, design and execution.

Q: What’s one of the biggest attractions on a timeshare vacation?

I can answer that in three words – food, food, food. Most resorts offer a wide choice when it comes to food and a good deal of planning goes into theme menus for restaurants at the resort. Menu offerings can include Oriental, Continental, Indian, and yes … authentic local.

The local specials in Goa, Kerala, Tamil Nadu and Karnataka are good examples - you get to flavor what’s typically local in terms of origins, taste and new interpretations. And served up by chefs who really want to make you feel at home.
