January 2013
Let me start my New Year message by wishing you a really
meaningful, eventful and rewarding new year.
I want it to be meaningful for you in terms of the new
relationships you will build – at a personal level and a
professional level.
Building new relationships and
strengthening old ones is something that widens your horizon
– it adds new dimensions to life around you. In a business
environment, this could include the people you work with, the
people you interact with in business support circles and yes, the
people you want to hire as well. New people joining your
organization will contribute more and stay with you longer if they
find the workplace conducive and the relationships meaningful.
Coming to the second point in my New Year message, I like the word
‘eventful’. To me that word has a buzz around it. At a
personal level, it could mean birthdays, weddings, anniversaries
– personal milestones that tell us we’re still alive
and ticking. At a business level, it could mean new initiatives,
tie-ups, mergers, acquisitions … and a whole lot more.
The third point in my message has to do with ‘rewards’.
Everybody likes rewards and everybody looks forward to rewards
– both short and long-term. At a personal level it could mean
promotions and related gains, returns on investments you’ve
been counting on. At a business level it could mean exceeding your
targets, widening your client base, or maybe, positive results on a
new project you’ve rolled out.
Now that I’ve explained the meaning and sentiment behind
my New Year wish, I feel I’ve personalized it for each one of
you.
As each year runs its course of 12 months, we open a new chapter
for ourselves in a world that is becoming increasingly competitive,
complex and demanding. People want more time from us, and we in
turn want to extract more from every minute, hour and day. And this
is where I want the next twelve months to really add up for
you.
With that in mind, let everything you wish for come true in
2013.

Post Script
Looking back, things have been pretty good for us at AIRDA in 2012.
We renewed our efforts to spread the good work about the merits of
timeshare within the industry and decision making levels in the
government. We set up new plans to widen our member base, to get
more participation and increased share of voice. And we
commissioned a new study around timeshare locations. Titled
“Assessment of Economic Impact of the Vacation Ownership
Industry” this is now fully documented and available as a
report from AIRDA.
You could write to us at info@airda.org for more information on
this report and how you can either obtain extracts or the entire
report, at a special price.
Welcome to AIRDA's virtual tours gallery - an initiative to provide an enhanced visual experience of our member properties.

What does an AIRDA membership mean to resort owners and developers? AIRDA comes in as your industry partner, conscience keeper and business catalyst - with a wide portfolio of support services.
